Quaker Chemical expands QUAKERCOOL® 700 Series at FABTECH 2016

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Nov. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In the Tube & Pipe industry, it is not unusual for a manufacturer to use multiple coolants for different operations, increasing the risk of incompatibility issues within the process or with downstream protective coatings.

Quaker Chemical Corporation (NYSE: KWR, "Quaker"), a leading supplier in process fluid solutions, continues to address the challenge that tube and pipe manufacturers face with the QUAKERCOOL® 700 series platform, a single product technology that can be used across multiple operations, substrates, and markets.

QUAKERCOOL® 710 TP joins the series as a coolant that works with multimetal applications often found in the  structural and mechanical tube and pipe markets. Designed with "front-to-back" compatibility in mind, the modularly designed QUAKERCOOL® 700 series integrates well with upstream chemistries and downstream coatings. These synthetic microemulsion metalworking fluids effectively resist microbiological growth and contain no chlorinated compounds, formaldehyde release agents, boron, MEA, nor secondary amines.

The complete multifunctional series includes:

  • QUAKERCOOL® 710 TP for ferrous and galvanized ERW tube roll forming and straightening
  • QUAKERCOOL® SUPERHYDRO 720 for hydrotesting
  • QUAKERCOOL® 730 TP for standard pipe threading, sawing and cutting, and ERW tube forming with ferrous and galvanized metals
  • QUAKERCOOL® 750 TP for premium pipe threading and sawing and cutting
  • QUAKERCOOL® 770 TP for severe thread designs and difficult to machine exotic alloys; tube forming for ferrous, galvanized, and stainless steel substrates, sawing and cutting

At Booth C49022, Quaker will be introducing QUAKERCOOL® 710 TP as well as featuring its "front-to-back" expertise of process fluids used for the front end of pipe making and for coating used at the back end for pipe protection during FABTECH 2016 (https://www.quakerchem.com/fabtech-2016/), the largest metal-forming, fabricating, tube & pipe, and welding tradeshow in North America. The show takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada from November 16-18.
